Having Fun With Invitations

The invitation to the wedding is one of the most memorable parts to create. This is often the first impression guests will have the newly engaged couple and wedding.

One tip I always use when creating invitations is to think of the couple. Who is the couple? Is there anything they like? Is there a theme for the wedding?

This particular one involves hand-done calligraphy by the Blooming Quill. We used it to announce our new location in Fairfax, Los Angeles! I love having fun with invites! It can be as simple as a postcard, or as elaborate as a box filled with items that represent the couple. 

At Kat Von D’s wedding, the invitations came in a black box embossed with a crucifix. The box was lined with red velvet and filled with a 3D Skull invitation and an ID bracelet.

The invitation can be anything you want. Do you want a magnet to remember the day forever? For your invitations to shine and sparkle like the night sky? Your imagination is the limit!
