Los Angeles Event Planner
Our founding event planner, Michele Fox Gott planned the first celebrity wedding featured on reality TV for the wedding vow renewals of Sharon and Ozzy. Since that day she has been sought after as the go-to girl for celebrity weddings including Snoop Dogg and Shante on E!, Rob Dyrdek's Sister's Wedding on MTV and Niecy Nash's two hour wedding special where she was the featured wedding planner which was also featured on the TLC's special "Top 10 wedding."
Vegan Wedding Planner
Albert Einstein did it. Leonardo De Vinci did it. Now Moby, Ellen and Joaquin are doing it. Vegan isn’t just a diet, it is a lifestyle. No leather, no fur, no animal testing are the mantras of vegans worldwide. The impact of the switch to a plant based lifestyle is positive. Being vegan can save the planet. Eating Vegan can be the single biggest way to positively impact the earth.

Wedding Tasting with Made by Meg
Being an event planner, there are so many moving parts to each one. Whether it be a corporate event or a big, beautiful wedding, the details are so important. The music choices, DJ or band, entertainment, décor, the venue, and my favor detail of all, the food.
We have clients that are planning their wedding with us for May 2022, and the first thing they wanted to work on was tasting food from different caterers. Me being the foodie I am, I immediately said, “Let’s do it!” and started contacting caterers.
Intern in the Event Industry - As The World Reopens
In March 2020 Covid-19 hit the US. The world as we knew it shut down, and people quarantined. Events ended, and most weddings were postponed or cancelled altogether. This lasted for at least a year, and even though vaccinations were opening places back up again, Los Angeles was a little slower to get back in the game. So when I accepted my internship offer to work with Michele Gott at Center of Attention Events, I understood that I would not be attending many.
Having Fun With Invitations
The invitation to the wedding is one of the most memorable parts to create. This is often the first impression guests will have the newly engaged couple and wedding.
Let’s Taco’ About This Vegan Taco Bell Cake
We recently had a client order this super fun Taco Bell cake from our very own inhouse baker. It was super fun and 100% vegan. Who knew? Filled with all of the fun famous things you go to Taco Bell for, such as Nacho Cheese, Crunchwrap, Supreme and Cinnamon Twist, and of course, tacos!
Websites to Consider When Registering for Your Special Day
When planning a wedding, there is a lot to do, and I always like to have a few company ideas for wedding registries and gifts up my sleeve. I find that this makes the process so much easier! Here are a few (or a lot!) of companies that I normally include:
Creating Fun Wedding Tabletops and Centerpieces
Recently for a client we had lots of fun creating good tabletop examples to show them. We had all sorts of fun creating various styles and looks, mixing up chargers, linens, goblets, flatware, and other crucial elements.
But what makes a good tabletop?
Kat Von D's Goth Wedding Created by her Wedding Planner
The Kat Von D and Leafar Sayer Wedding changed all the rules for weddings. The cocktail reception could have appeared to be a classic all white wedding with an odd twist like the upside down crucifix. The ballroom doors opened to unveil a monochromatic blood red romantic cave dripping in fabric. Candles floated above lush tabletops adorned with collections of Bibles, skulls, crystals, and mounds of flowers. Guests enjoyed an elaborate multi-course vegan feast while listening to special musical performances with Kat serenaded Leafar while playing Nick Cave’s into my arms on a red piano as their grand finale.
Intern in the Event Industry - Zoom Internship
From invitations and registries to creating a website and marketing on Instagram (even though I personally do not have social media), I gained an understanding of different technological tools I can utilize to work efficiently, acquired knowledge of different cultures, and improved my communication skills. For example, Michele advised me to be more engaging when calling venues, such as asking how their day was instead of just talking about work. I, as an organized person, strengthened organizational and planning skills by going back to previous to do lists and editing them to update them instead of creating new to do lists. Although I was fortunate to assist with a service agreement (contract or legalities), rental and budget breakdowns, evaluation, and a new club on Clubhouse, the pandemic limited my growth and an abundant amount of knowledge that I could have attained in-person.
